INDONESIAN LANGUAGE LEARNING STRATEGY USING DISCOVERY LEARNING METHOD FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

This study aims to explore the application of the Discovery Learning method in learning Indonesian at the high school level. The method used is a literature study by analyzing various current sources that discuss the effectiveness of this method. The results of the study indicate that the Discovery Learning method is able to increase student engagement, critical thinking skills, and creativity in understanding Indonesian language materials. Students are encouraged to actively find concepts through independent exploration, which results in deeper and more sustainable understanding. However, this study also identifies challenges faced, such as variations in student abilities and teacher readiness in managing the class. Thus, this study provides insight for educators to design more inclusive and effective learning strategies, and contributes to the development of science in the field of Indonesian Language and Literature Education. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference for educators and researchers in implementing more innovative methods in the learning process.
