Abstract

The G20 (Group of Twenty) is one of the many organizations in the
world related to economics and finance. In terms of its functions and roles, the
G20 has made it an international institution and regime capable of meeting
the interests of many actors, including Saudi Arabia, a country with the most
extensive oil resources in the world with an increasing economy. In 2020
Saudi Arabia will become one of the countries that play an essential role in
the world economy during the crisis due to the Covid-19 Pandemic through
the G20 as the host or the Presidency. This study seeks to find out through
an analysis of the actors as a network of cooperation in the G20 led by Saudi
Arabia in 2020 what interests Saudi Arabia brings and how Saudi Arabia can
realize these interests.
This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with secondary data
form literature studies such as documents, scientific journals, books,
magazines, research, theses, and articles. The level of analysis used is state
actors and international regimes. The framework for analyzing this research
uses Actor-Network Theory (ANT) as the leading theory and several other
supporting concepts such as Economic Diplomacy, National Interest, and
International Regimes.
