Abstract

Abstrak

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting berbantuan Geoboard terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Populasinya siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Ajibarang. Sampelnya yaitu kelas eksperimen VII F, kelas kontrol VII H, dan kelas uji coba VII I, dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Teknik pengambilan datanya dengan mengunakan uji ketuntasan rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa, uji proporsi ketuntasan rata-rata, uji beda rata-rata dan uji regresi linear sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa melampaui 73 dengan proporsi siswa yang tuntas melebihi 75%. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 82,96 lebih baik daripadanilai rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas kontrol yaitu 62,00. Uji regresi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif keterampilan proses siswa terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa sebesar 83%. Kesimpulan dari uraian diatas adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran Probing Prompting berbantuan Geoboard efektif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa materi segi empat.

 

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out Probing Prompting aided Geoboard model effective or not for the ability understanding a mathematical concept of student’s. The population in this research were students of VII grade SMP Negeri 2 Ajibarang. The sample used in this research was class VII F as an experimental class and class VII H as control class that was determined by using Simple Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques using test completed the average, test proportion the average, test different the average,nad simple regression test. The result of this research showed that the average score of ability understanding a mathematical concept of students was 73 with students’ proportion students more than 75%. The average score the ability understanding a mathematical concept of students of experiment class was 82,96 better than the average score the ability understanding a mathematical concept of students of control class 62,00. The score of simple regression test meant that there were positive students that skill the process in the ability understanding a mathematical concept of students 83%. The concluded of the description above was the use of Probing Prompting aided Geoboard model effective in the ability of a mathematical conception understanding of student’s matter rectangular.
