Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of teachers’ understanding of implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) as an effort to strengthen students’ character. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of teachers’ understanding in implementing P5 learning at SD Negeri Kalierang 01 Bumiayu. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include grade 1B, 4B, and 5B teachers, the principal, and 5B students. The results show that teachers’ understanding of P5 implementation is in the “understanding” category. Teachers are able to apply pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competencies, starting from understanding the concepts, principles, dimensions, and stages of P5 implementation and evaluation. However, some obstacles remain, such as student fatigue, limited funds, and incomplete project modules and reporting. These findings indicate the need for further support from schools in the form of training and facilities to optimize P5 implementation.
