Abstract

Digital learning in schools is less effective due to irregular class schedules, limited classroom space, large numbers of students, and minimal supervision of technology use, causing students to be more inclined to access entertainment content rather than engage in learning.This study aims to develop the Math HOTS Masters assisted by Thunkable for teaching the matrix topic in grade XI of senior high school, designed to support the enhancement of students’ Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The trial subjects consisted of a mathematics teacher and 30 grade XI students of SMA Islam Ta’allumul Huda Bumiayu. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, validation questionnaires, and practicality questionnaires. The media validation results obtained a percentage score of 90,8% (very valid category), while the material validation results reached 88.3% (very valid category). The practicality test achieved 87.6% (very practical category). Based on these findings, the Math HOTS Masters learning media is declared feasible to be used as a supportive tool for mathematics learning, particularly in improving students’ understanding of matrix concepts and their higher-order thinking skills.
