Securitization of Bhutan's Environment through the National Adaptation Plan 2019-2023

Abstrak

This research aims to analyze Bhutan's environmental securitization through the National  Adaptation  Plan  (NAP)  2019-2023.  This  research  uses  a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. The results show that climate change is a serious environmental and national security threat for Bhutan. The country has a strong commitment to addressing the impacts of climate change through climate adaptation policies. Through the NAP, Bhutan seeks to increase climate resilience and reduce the impacts of climate change. The  research  also  found  that  Bhutan  has  made  significant  progress  in reducing   greenhouse   gas   emissions   and   promoting   environmental conservation. However, there are still challenges to overcome, such as limited resources and the need for international support.
