Abstract

Gastritis is an example of a non-communicable disease that occurs quite a lot,
this is due to an unhealthy lifestyle such as consuming spicy food, causing
inflammation of the gastric mucosa. Treatment of gastritis with ranitidine
therapy is more than antacid therapy. The purpose of this study was to analyze
the cost-effectiveness of inpatient gastritis patients using ranitidine and
antacids. This type of research is descriptive restorative by comparing direct
medical costs, the data taken in the form of medical records and the cost of
treatment of patients with a diagnosis of gastritis. This study shows that the
ACER value of ranitidine is 4,688 with 100% effectiveness, the ACER value of
antacids is 6,480 with 66.66% effectiveness. The result of the ICER value from
the comparison of antacids and ranitidine is 1.106. So it can be concluded that
the more cost effective therapy is ranitidine compared to antacids.
